June 12, 2010 Brothers and Sisters of Little Rock Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 17: Late Friday afternoon, I received a phone call from the City Manager, Bruce Moore, who discussed his intentions to make an offer to the Little Rock FOP in exchange for the deferral of our 2010 cost of living increase that we voted on, as a body, in December 2009.  Today, Bruce Moore received information that an offer he made to the Little Rock Firefighters IAFF union will be published in Sunday’s Arkansas Democrat Gazette.  The FOP Executive Board wanted you to be informed that the offer that may appear in the paper on Sunday is similar to the offer that the Little Rock FOP union is expecting from the City.  We had been expecting this offer by the middle of the week last week, but we have been informed that a formal offer will not be received until Monday, June 14, 2010.  The Little Rock FOP Executive Board remains committed to the current contract discussi

'It's on' — school board prez and 'union' leader: a Creole Response

Publishers Note: The blog mentioned in this article is called "Parents for PACT" It should be labeled "Idiot's for an association that doesn't give a shit about parents unless they have to".  It's not a true fraternal union idiot's, it's an association, that's why you have such little influence.     Read this PCSSD fraud watch blog archive, it's all here. Ms. Nix remained silent from 2003-2005 while her corrupt racist teacher's BOTH black and white, were protected by her sneaky ass & PCSSD working together. You reap what you sow weak-ass leader, so do you teachers who silently stood by while your co-workers put out "hits" on Creole Indian children by way of criminal gang members puppeteered by those very same adults!  Shame on you, no having a union, losers.   Read what the Arkansas Department of Education had to say about our State of Arkansas supported complaints.  Nix

Pulaski County Special School District allegedly mishandled federal funds for Hurricane Katrina and Rita victims

Image
State legislators blasted the Pulaski County Special School District board and administrators Friday morning, after the Division of Legislative Audit releases the results of a year-long investigation. "It's time Pulaski County Special School District got taken over if this is the kind of foolishness going on down there," State Sen. Kim Hendren said in the DLA meeting Friday morning. Last year, KARK 4 reported first about how the district overpaid outgoing superintendent James Sharpe by about $80,000.  Shortly after, the board unanimously voted to launch the audit.  Sharpe returned the money but then acting superintendent Rob McGill requested district personnel double check his compensation and auditors discovered Sharpe was overpaid $17,203 during his tenure. The district is now pursuing legal action to recoup the funds. Auditors also discovered Sharpe was paid $7,836 worth of unallowable expenses, which is due back to the district.  T

Little Rock Police Defered Pay Raises In January-Solution Around the Corner?

What Ever Happened With This?   I find it amazing, and yet not surprising, that every time we go into a bad economy essential services  (police & fire) are the first ones to take the hit. It never seems to affect any government bureaucracy  or pet social program - from the execs to the secretaries and support personnel. This is done on  purpose, to increase your angst so you'll accept more government solutions.   And it makes me mad as hell. -Citizen of Little Rock Publisher's note:   I heard that 'ol prez Gilchrist broke the fraternal tradition of "returning"  the symbolic $5,000 payment, by keepin' 'dem duckets.  Not only  did he "break the cycle of humble servitude, a la pro bono, he want's it  increased to $13,000 so he can NOT give that back too.   Way to go there Johnnie boy, hell, If I had to hold-hands with a buncha cryin'  ass police, I would want more money too! BP accused of 'lack of integrity' by US House speaker   BP is working to contain the spill having failed to plug the leak US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has accused BP of a "lack of integrity" when making its case for deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. US President Barack Obama has met relatives of the 11 workers killed in the explosion on the BP oil platform in the Gulf. BP shares in the UK have fallen to their lowest level since 1997 amid fears of huge US penalties. The US attorney general said America would "not pay a dime" for cleaning up. BP would be held responsible for all damages, Eric Holder said. In another development, the Obama administration said BP had agreed to quickly meet the compensation claims of businesses and individuals whose livelihoods had been disrupted by the spill. Amid concerns in the UK over what some have described as growing anti-British

Police: They’re Just Doing Their Jobs

Image
Posted on 10 June 2010 by Adam Mueller All to often I hear a supporter of police or an actual cop say, “I’m just doing my job.”  Well for the past week I’ve been in Keene, NH along with Pete and Dr. Q , both are Cop Block contributors,  and while out in the beautiful downtown area have taken some video of the Keene Police.   After reviewing the footage we captured I decided to make this short video about Cops doing their jobs.  As seen in the video above we’ve captured footage of cops wasting tax dollars, generating revenue with victimless crimes and threatening business owners for rowdy customers.  In a weeks time I didn’t witness or hear one person state they needed, liked or asked the police to show up.  Not once?  In two of the three covered police encounters people actually thanked us for filming or shouted back at the police.   You can’t help but wonder, why?  Why are these cops, or gang members, allowed to take our money?  When I,

CORRUPTION SUCKS BLOG   www.corruptionsucks.blogspot.c om  Live Coverage ONLINE: http://www.livestation.com/ UNITED NATIONS, June 9 -- A divided U.N. Security Council on Wednesday imposed a fourth round of financial and commercial sanctions on Iran's military establishment, bringing to a close more than six months of diplomatic efforts by the Obama administration to penalize Tehran for building a covert nuclear facility and accelerating its enrichment of uranium. The 15-member council adopted its fourth sanctions resolution on Iran in four years by a vote of 12-2. Brazil and Turkey voted against the resolution, citing concerns that the council had not exhausted diplomatic efforts to resolve its standoff with Iran. Lebanon abstained. The Obama administration succeeded in securing support for sanctions from the council's major powers, inc

Activist Buys Police Department's Web Domain

Brian McCrary just bought a website to complain about a $90 speeding ticket he received from the Bluff City PD — the Bluff City Police Department site. The department let its domain expire and McCrary was quick to pick it up . From the article: "Brian McCrary found the perfect venue to gripe about a $90 speeding ticket when he went to the Bluff City Police Department's website, saw that its domain name was about to expire, and bought it right out from under the city's nose. Now that McCrary is the proud owner of the site, bluffcitypd.com , the Gray, Tenn., computer network designer has been using it to post links about speed cameras — like the one on U.S. Highway 11E that caught him — and how people don't like them."
