Beebe alderman arrested for campaign sign theft As Reported By The Associated Press BEEBE  — A Beebe alderman has been arrested for allegedly stealing the campaign signs of one of his three opponents. White County authorities say Alderman Leslie Cossey was arrested about 4 a.m. Tuesday. Polls opened at 7:30 a.m. Sheriff’s Cpl. Steve Hernandez told The Daily Citizen in Searcy that Cossey was arrested after candidate Jonathan Gordon’s wife called police to report she saw him with her husband’s campaign signs under his coat.
