LRPD Liars List - Little Rock Police "Brady Cops" MAKING LITTLE ROCK ACCOUNTABLE AGAIN For some time now we have been collecting records on Little Rock Police officers that have been found in internal investigations to have falsified records, made willful misrepresentations, and lied (they use the term untruthfulness).   Experts say one of the concerns about police officers who tell even the smallest of lies is that their false statements can be used to discredit their testimony in unrelated court cases. While the badge brings a certain amount of automatic credibility with jurors, it can be easily tarnished. The persistence of lying by the police has inevitably become a contributing factor to wrongful convictions, in Little Rock and beyond.   Blue Hog gets a win in Freedom of Information action against city of Little Rock A report from Blue Hog Report author and lawyer Matt Campbell on a hearing today before Circuit Judge Chip Welch on Campbell’s appeal of the city’s failure to comply with the Freedom of Information Act in response to numerous document requests, including some concerning Mayor Frank Scott’s aborted LITfest, which imploded amid concerns about contract irregularities and cronyism. Reports Campbell: Deputy City Attorney showed up and told the judge the city admitted that it had violated the FOIA as to all of my requests. They noted, correctly, that they have been working over the past week to try to get everything caught up in the FOIA department and to get me everything I requested.   Little Rock lawyer admits possessing marijuana at airport, sentenced to 6 years A 47-year-old Little Rock lawyer arrested with about 180 pounds of marijuana at the city airport admitted Tuesday to possessing a portion of the contraband in exchange for a six-year prison term. David Matthew Littlejohn pleaded guilty to a Class B felony marijuana possession charge, which involves up to 100 pounds of marijuana, reduced from Class A felony possession, which tops out at 500 pounds. Littlejohn had been scheduled to stand trial Tuesday before Pulaski County Circuit Judge Leon Johnson. A co-defendant from California is awaiting trial. Questioned about what crime he had committed, Littlejohn told the judge  that he had 40 pounds. "I was arrested at the Little Rock airport with two suitcases with about 40  pounds of cannabis," Littlejohn said. According to police reports, detectives were using a trained dog to inspect in coming luggage at the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport
