Why Won't The U.S. Census Answer These Constitutional Privacy Questions?

VARIOUS VIDEO COMMENTS:

I absolutely love it when people refuse to inform themselves with information that may be contradictory to what they think is correct. Being close minded and keeping yourself uninformed is a great way to go about your life. As for "civic duty", it's your duty to be accounted for, nothing more. That's all the constitution mandates. Anything beyond that is optional and regardless of how non-intrusive the questions may seem to you it may feel different to others.

My beloved but somewhat paranoid, right-wing step-dad sent me this link last weekend. I watched it and thought this guy was nuts. Read some of the comments and thought a majority of the commentators were illogical, paranoid freaks.

Got my census survey in the mail yesterday and it only confirmed my initial thoughts. He's spewing absolute BS and perpetuating fear and paranoia among the already nutty, fearful and paranoid. Our form consisted nothing he's mentioned. Not a single thing.

"OMG the Census Bureau is taking GPS coordinates!"

They already have your mailing address, genius, they already know where you live and the cops can already break down your door if they want to go around being evil fascists. They don't need GPS coordinates for that.

The GPS coordinates are paired-up with the number of people in each house so the population-density maps the Census makes will be more accurate. Maybe Northern VA will get more road money once they see how f***ing dense it is here.

Got my census. This guy is lying. How does someone have this much time on their hands to go to these lengths to fabricate something?

My Census form does not have any questions about disabilities, income, how much we pay for insurance, food stamps, utilities or anything except who lives here, housing and whether it is owned or rented, how old the residents are, relationship and race. You may be referring to the long form of the 2000 Census which was invasive.

Dr Mercola just released an article that features this video.

bit (dot) ly (slash) aChYOE

"itemizes the fundamental legal questions that the Census Bureau refuses or fails to answer about its collection and use of personal information from every American."

"It's government of the people, for the people, by the people, remember? We are the government. Chill out. "

ROTFLMAO, that's about the funniest thing I've heard in a long time!! Are you really that naive??

If you replace "people" with corporation, it would be an accurate statement, but "we the people" ain't ever had any real say in what our government does. Most Americans just don't give a shit how their gubment fucks them up the bung, as long as their TV works and the KFC is open.

"It's government of the people, for the people, by the people, remember?" Yes, we have . . . those in Washington haven't.

I received my 2010 census in the mail and other than the standard questions pertaining to number of occupants, age, race, etc., there were no intrusive questions. No, not one. So, I don't know exactly what you're talking about, unless the face to face interview is very much different. I will fill this out and get it behind me. Even as a proponent of privacy, this one is no sweat.

The only thing my census report asked was how many people live in my house and how old!
