The incident was captured on video at Horace Mann Middle School in El Portal, Thursday morning. “Oh, no, I couldn’t handle that,” parent James Brannon said. “Myself, if I had walked up and saw that, I would have gotten involved with it, and I would have said, ‘Hold up, you can’t do that kid like that.'” The video begins with some sort of altercation between 40-year-old Antwan Ruffin, who stands 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds, and a seventh-grade student. “Try me.   Lonoke County Sheriff's Office files charges against a female detention employee We were tipped off that a female Lonoke County Detention Deputy or employee was arrested earlier this week for sexually assaulting multiple female inmates and providing contraband items such as cellphones and drugs to inmates.  To hide the arrest from online exposure (LCSO arrests and booking are posted online) the Sheriff had the city police do it. We called the Lonoke police department and the cop that we spoke with stated he was not authorized to release her name. He said we would have to get that from the chief.   Little Rock Mayor lies about his membership on the Committee to Rebuild the Rock On July 23rd, a local paper ran a story about the "Rebuild the Rock" sales tax initiative and quoted the feckless Little Rock mayor about members of the group pushing the tax and funding efforts to promote it. The mayor told the paper that there were five members of that group. That was a lie. There are actually six members listed on the required form submitted to the Arkansas Ethics Commission, and the mayor is the sixth member. Why would he lie about something like that?  Perhaps it's a conflict of interest and possibly illegal. You can see that a flyer the group has mailed out looks exactly like the city of Little Rock's own web page.  You will notice that the URL for the group is listed as www.RebuildTheRock21.com. They have to use that URL because  WE  own the domains named RebuildTheRock .     The use of the phrase RebuildTheRock is problematic for several reasons (more on that in
