Two Former Deputies Charged with Manslaughter in the Death of Texas Man Javier Ambler J.J. Johnson and Zach Camden, the former Williamson County, Texas deputies who followed Javier Ambler in a fatal March 2019 vehicle chase, were indicted Monday for manslaughter in the Ambler’s death, the Austin American-Statesman reports. The Travis County District Attorney’s Office announced the indictments on Tuesday. Johnson and Camden turned themselves in on Tuesday, but they have since been released on $150,000 bail, the paper noted. Neither man is allowed to work in law enforcement or for a security company while his case progresses. “With these indictments, we have taken another critical step towards justice for the Ambler family and for our community,” District Attorney Jose Garza (D) said in a statement. “While we can never take away the pain of the Ambler family, the grand jury has sent a clear message that no one is above the law.” Ambler allegedly did not dim the high-beam headlights of hi...

PCSSD reluctantly releases records regarding abusive former teacher

PCSSD reluctantly releases records regarding former teacher Is PCSSD a shitty district, with shitty leadership and shitty teachers?   Russ Racop - March 30, 2021 On March 5th Karla Lasiter, a kindergarten teacher at Crystal Hill Elementary school, forced a Black five year old student to unclog a poop and toilet paper filled commode using his bare hands. The student's family complained and Lasiter was removed from the classroom and quickly resigned in an attempt to make the matter go away. We sent a Freedom of Information request to the school district... and as usual, they were extremely unwilling to comply with the requirements of the AFOIA.   ... and as usual, they were extremely unwilling to comply with the requirements of the AFOIA.   We waited another three days and sent another email. The PCSSD failed to provide the materials in the statutory time.  They blamed it on the departure of Jill Clark, a communications legal associate for the district. PCSSD is...

DFA Security Supervisor Juanita Shermo resigns while under investigation

DFA Security Supervisor Juanita Shermo resigns while under investigation Juanita Shermo resigned after complaint was made by our organization  Russ Racop - March 19, 2021   Earlier this month we received information from a confidential source that Juanita Shermo, Security Supervisor at the Department of Finance & Administration ("DFA") and a certified law enforcement officer, had misused her position and access to secure records to assist an individual find a birth parent.      So we reached out to DFA and Shermo for comments. DFA responded but Shermo ghosted us. Scott Hardin, Communications Director for DHS responded. Apparently the information provided to us was correct as Shermo did what corrupt, guilty cops do when caught breaking the rules or law, resign before they get fired. By resigning, any investigative file usually does not become a public record because resulting actions did not result in a suspension or termination. We made the complaint ...

Questions abound regarding six Little Rock cops receiving COVID Bailout funds

Questions abound regarding six Little Rock cops receiving COVID Bailout funds At least six LRPD cops applied for and received federal PPP loans, a/k/a COVID Bailouts, according to information found on  PROPUBLICA  and  ACCOUNTABLE US  websites. The six are Aaron Armstrong, James Hooper, Fred Lee, Larry Mears, Larry Mears, Jr., and Donald Williams.  Like most all LRPD cops , all of these mercenary cops refuse to live in the city of Little Rock  (70% of all LRPD cops and 80% of white LRPD cops live outside LR). LRPD cops must work off-duty in Little Rock and it appears these six claimed the COVID Bailout funds in relation to off-duty work.  We did not find that any of these mercenary cops had a business entity registered with the Arkansas Secretary of State. None of their personnel files contained any reference to any non-LRPD outside employment. Surely more than six of the five hundred something LRPD cops had their off-duty, side jobs a...
